Prince - 3121 Las Vegas Live (RSD)

By the beginning of 2007, Prince had spent a few years conquering pop culture all over again. After his volcanic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction late in 2004, his huge Musicology album and it's massive, game-changing tour, Prince then topped the charts with his 2006 album 3121 and was getting ready to mount his legendary Super Bowl performance. His 6-month Per4ming Live @ 3121 Las Vegas residency in 2006-2007 was a triumph and this release captures the magic of those intimate shows. Captured January 20, 2007, and featuring over 2 hours of sweaty brilliance across 3 LPs pressed on crystal blue curaçao vinyl housed in a gorgeous gatefold, the setlist deftly combines hits from throughout Prince's career with highlight tracks from 3121 and Musicology and amazing covers (from "Pass The Peas" to Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy, " to "Play That Funky Music").
