First City Records has expanded into the world of creating physical media! The First City Record Company record label has a focus on local/regional artists, indie rock, alternative country and anything that peaks my curiosity.
HOW FCR Co. WORKS:
Artists interested in working with us have full control of their art! I am currently looking to work with artists that already have their album recorded. It doesn't need to be mixed or mastered...we have that covered!
I will give artists the tools to complete their projects, get it mastered for digital/CD distribution, as well as for vinyl (2 totally different mastering processes!). I will then help design your album, get it into production at a very affordable cost and see it through until completion.
Once the album is finished, I will assist in selling, marketing and distributing all over the world using our many platforms!
WHAT DOES IT COST?
FCR Co. will cover all upfront costs pertaining to mixing/mastering, production, marketing and promotion! I structure our deals to work to the artists advantage! Once I am paid back in full for my costs we will then enter into a profit sharing situation where you receive 70% or more of your total sales! FCR Co. will continue to promote and sell your items after I'm paid back in our store and other avenues. Each contract will be structured to fit the needs of the artist/band but the general idea is I'll cover the costs, I'll get paid back..and then you make cash on your art until the product has sold through! All legit. All safe. All legal!

We are currently working on THREE projects for 2026!
Jake Dunn "Kinda Like A Dream" E.P. is our first project and it nearing the completion stage. For Jake, we mastered the album to vinyl, produced CD's and high quality crystal clear vinyl & marketed extensively as our debut release. This title is on sale now!
Our second project is: Bloody Your Hands "Shake Us Awake". BYH are an indie rock band from Brookyln so everything that we are doing is over email and text. We mastered for vinyl, created a promotional plan, created album artwork & produced a run of 300 coke bottle clear records that will be available to preorder later this year!
Our 3rd project is in the contractual phase so I can't say just yet but I am VERY excited for it as it checks all my boxes...peaked my interest, indie rock with a little country twangy flair! Be on the look out for more information on FCR003 in the second quarter of the year.
